Summertime Blues

At least that's the way it feels at the moment. Restricted movement and strange pains still happening, means no work on my layout. The one thing I need to address the the top level.

The base unit is fine and I want to get it covered with resin. The top layer is for the track and scenary and I can see more thought is needed. I had done it, "as it happened", and the result is not good. What is required is a method where the "girders" are slightly higher in the middle than at their respective ends. This way they will sit square on the base unit. At the moment they rock all over the place.

A few weeks back I sent off for a couple of little toys. Bachmann UK made a thing called Underground Ernie, for kids, and part of that series is a 4 wheel inspection vehicle. All 4 wheels are powered and will be a very good power chassis for Critters. It doesn't run too bad either, needs some resistance for slower starting, but otherwise okay.
