A bit on the stiff side
02 July, 2009
As the pain in my spine has now gone, all that's left is some stiff muscles and me feeling a bit weak in the legs. Hey, I've been down for nearly 2 months and only got out once or twice. I live between two town centers. Each is about thre quarters of a mile away so there and back is a mile plus. I'm aiming to walk this each day for a week. Weird how quickly your legs lose strength, especially when you're older.
I was looking at the way I've done my layout mount and will have to do it over. The top layer is supported by "girders" of foamboard about 2 inches deep. I realized that having them straight along the bottom edges, picks up any irregularites. So I'll cut out some new tops and have the girders with their centers raised - kind of like a slight arch. That will stop any rocking. Make sense? Don't worry, when it's over I will have a tutorial here on the site showing you how I did it.
